Our History
ProFiduciary Inc. was founded by Thomas Thale in 2005. During the prior 25 years, Thom worked in the corporate trust world with positions at Home Fed, Bank of America, First National Bank, Union Bank and California Bank and Trust. After his experiences as a trust officer at those institutions, and as trust department manager, Thom wanted to build an organization which would best serve the needs of clients and foster the growth of other professional fiduciaries.
Thom was one of the first licensed professional fiduciaries in California, with license number 33 issued in 2008. Thom would go on to be a leader in the San Diego fiduciary community as the new profession matured.
ProFiduciary has grown over the years with the addition of seasoned professionals who found a strong support team which allowed them to put greater focus on the needs of clients. Thom felt it was important that the team at ProFiduciary provide valuable services such as managing unique real estate assets and administering special needs trusts.
Today, the firm has grown to become one of the largest private fiduciary firms in San Diego. Thom’s vision is carried on by seven active licensed fiduciaries, several of whom got their start as professional fiduciaries at ProFiduciary.
