After working in the bank trust industry for 25 years, Thomas Thale founded ProFiduciary in 2005. While in the industry, Thomas established a number of personal client relationships, some of which urged Thomas to launch his own business as a private fiduciary, since such a structure allows fiduciaries to better serve their clients’ needs. Today, the firm has grown to become one of the largest private fiduciary firms in San Diego.
Our work is about and for our clients: those who created wills and trusts and the beneficiaries of those trusts and estates. We fulfill our clients’ needs within the terms of governing documents and the law.
Vice President, Office & IT Manager
Dan started with ProFiduciary in 2007 as IT consultant and Administrative Assistant. Over the years his skillset and responsibilities grew to include supervising real estate transactions, corporate and client deposits, marketing and office management. He now runs the day to day operations at ProFiduciary as well as continues to maintain the IT infrastructure that ProFiduciary relies on. He is a musician, Star Trek aficionado, and is married with two cats.
Susan brings to ProFiduciary a comprehensive background in the financial services field. She began her career at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago, as a graduate of Northwestern University. She was then hired at Security Pacific Bank, Institutional Trust, as Vice President in Los Angeles and New York. When her family relocated to San Diego, Susan joined The Global Private Bank, Bank of America, as Vice President and Senior Trust Administrator. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Senior Wealth Advisor for The Private Bank of Union Bank. Susan and her husband enjoy their beach cottage on Mission Bay.
Trust Accounting Manager
Dawn brings 9 years of previous experience working closely with a busy professional fiduciary and assisting with all facets of trust administration, estate settlement, special needs trusts, and incapacitated senior support. Her strong focus and background are in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable and annual accounting. She is known for her understanding & management of the client’s day-to-day financial needs & supporting those needs with organization and timeliness. Dawn receives great enjoyment through helping others and brings a positive outlook to any task. She is happily married & loves spending time with her family.
Trust Administrative Assistant, Notary Public
Patricia came to us as an Executive Assistant from another local fiduciary and has over 8 years of experience. She assisted staff in managing all aspects of various family entities including Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Conservatorships and Administrator of the Estate. She brings to the table a wide knowledge of fiduciary duties and the detail it takes to make sure every client is well-served. Patricia is a graduate of the University of San Diego with her bachelor’s degree in Accounting and is a California Notary. She is married with two children and they enjoy camping, hiking and visiting various National Parks.
